Report on our trip to the National History Museum by Oisín

On Tuesday 26th September we went to the National History Museum.

We saw a couple of very interesting artefacts, such as bog bodies. Some were in such good condition that you could see the fingernails, another had hair gel from France!

My favourite object was the Corleck Head. It is a stone with three faces all around the sides. It was from 200BC, and is one of the 100 Objects that tell the history of Ireland (no. 19). It was meant to resemble the all knowing God Lugh (this is an educated guess!)
