Visit from Poetry Ireland

Tony Curtis, author of P is for Poetry (from Something Beginning with P) has a new book coming out soon for children. He came to 2nd and 4th classes in our school. Some of the comments from the children from 2nd were:

  • ‘Fun' (Elizabeth),
  • ‘Once in a lifetime experience' (Ostap),
  • ‘Everything' (Tommy)
  • ‘Now I know what it feels like to be at a comedian's show' (Alex)


Tony also sang songs including Mount Eerie (it has no ears) and Hallelujah

The children in 4th class described their experience with him as:

  • ‘Great presence, got everyone involved' (Lisa Tyndall)
