Board Of Management Report

The Board of Management met on the following dates since the last report:

  • 16th January 2019

In January we approved our certified accounts for the previous year and sent them off to the Patron.

We worked on our Positive Behaviour Policy and commended the staff, students and parents for all their work on this.

The Board would like to thank the parents for all their work on the parent's room and hope that it will be a happy and vibrant space into the future. It was noted that there is lots of traffic on the school website which is a good sign that it is being used by the school community regularly.

There was ongoing work with the school building to ensure that snags are completed and maintenance contracts are set up

The Board passed on a vote of thanks to the parents in 6th class for all their work on the play

We looked at Secondary schools where the children go to in terms of the Dublin 8 second level ET campaign

The Board approved the tender process for the school library

The Board worked on enrolment for 2019/2020

The Staffing Schedules and approved leave were also discussed

The Board thanked all involved with Grandparent's day.

Dates were noted for upcoming ET events at which representatives of the Board will be in attendance. These include the General Members Meeting and the AGM

The Board finalised and ratified the Positive Behaviour Policy and discussed plans for the rest of the year. The board noted the success in using online payments in the school.

  • 26th March 2019

At our March meeting the Board approved the Leave policy for Teachers and SNA's as well as the protected Disclosures policy. Many thanks to all who had worked on them.

The Board noted that the staff had been working on planning document templates and thanked all involved for their input. Next month the Board will review the Anti Bullying Policy in the school.

The Board hosted a get together of all the stakeholders in the school (See full report in newsletter)
